Lou HEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Today we had our company lunch at SWA garden. Good stuff! "Lo Hei" and Teochew style food. Steamed fish, vegetables, braised toufu and duck, etc and yam for dessert.
The Raw fish into the vege.

Another happy customer!

Steamboat Round 4
Heating up!
Looking at their expression, I think the food should be good!
The Chicken broth table.
The 麻辣 or spicy pot and vegetarian pot. David insisted on having the vegetarian pot that's suppose to be specially catered for V&V.

妈 妈 的福州面线
面线如丝线般清清爽爽,口感柔韧香糯. This is one of the reason why we alway go home during the first day of New year, to have a bowl of 福州面线. I have been eating this dish ever since I am a child and so far none of those sold in the food mall even came close to this.
The noodle is topped with cabbage, mushrooms etc. Vegetarian style of course.
The noodle is normally uncut. This symbolize longevity.

Chinese New Year 大年初一
First day of Chinese New Year!
Check out the decor at my corridor. Great works from my neighbour!
The first event for the day is to visit the temple. As early as 7am, there is a long queue of devotees who are here to offer well wishes to the abbot. In return he will bless you with good health and prosperity!
Offerings at the altar!

Reunion Dinner
The nite before Chinese New Year, our family would gather for reunion dinner. Normally it would be steamboat! The reunion dinner is a important event as family members would gather for a sumptuous feats.
Round 1:
Vegetarian steamboat. Mum would normally prepare a mixture of home cooked food and vegetarian mock meat from the store.
A cold plate combination of fish, roast duck, chicken, pork. Vegetarian style!
Pig Trotter in vinegar
Round 2:
Steamboat dinner at in-laws place. At this point, my stomach is almost 99% full!
The usual chicken broth and spicy soup base with small dishes.
