ARTSingapore2009

This year ARTSingapore features a new section, Asia International Photography Fair (AIPF 2009). The main objective of AIPF is to showcase photography as a mainstream artform. Was expecting to view works from photographers in this region, yet most are from USA.

Sealey Brandt, the only photographer from Singapore, specialize in B&W portraiture.

Walking into another section, featuring lots of contemporary artworks from galleries.

Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa

emm...sld I wear this floral pants to the resort?

Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa
Resort entrance

Lobby

One of the few local hotel with spacious lobby area, a light well allows natural light during daytime.

Water feature along the walkway leading to the rooms.

Our room, located on the fourth floor comes with the basic amenities. No free wifi though.

The Infinity pool, located on the fourth floor has great view of South China Sea. Unfortunately no kids are allowed.

The dream pool is located a distance away from the room. Find it a hassle walking all the way back after the swim.

Located beside the rooms, the office and gym is housed in an refurbished colonial structure.

Breakfast at the SHUTTERS.

Balestier Road. This is one place where you find all kinds of apartments cluster into a small plot of land. That's easily 8 different styled building in the photo!

老花眼

I am no longer glasses free. Not because of myopia but due to presbyopia or 老花眼. In plain English, I am getting old at a younger age and I need a pair of reading glasses for my daily work.

This is not good because everytime I look into the camera view finder...it's blur.....
From today onwards, we are stuck to each other for the rest of our life.

Nikon Singapore

Visited Nikon Singapore, located right in the heart of the city.

To my disappointment, the lens are all kept in the display shelves. Wouldn't it be great if the lens are mounted on the camera for hands on? If you have the chance, visit the Nikon showrooms in Japan, its worth the trip!

The view on the other end offers little consolation.
