Taiwan Day 6

Day Six: Taoyuan (Furano)

Furano Homestay, located at Dongyanshan National Forest Recreation, in Fuxin Township is about an hour drive from Taipei or Taoyuan. We spend an entire day 6 here. It's a bit cooler up on the mountain but the morning sun is still pretty hot.

Late September is the low period and we are the only guest here. Petty bright at 7am and there isn't a single stuff around. Views from the 2nd level.

It's ridges after ridges.

Not sure of the altitude but clouds lingers on the highest point.

Our room 303 with the "mountain" view.

The main building, comprises of accommodation area and cafe is built on the highest point. You must be prepared to walk down a slope to visit the sheep. Map.

Need to emphasize that this is not an actual farm, rather the sheep are just an attraction. They are not slaughter for food. There are less than 20 sheep here, including a golden retriever and a wild boar!

The sheep are out around 9 plus!

The cottage is very well kept, even the wild boar smells good!

Local tourist who visited the home stay on a one day tour would also pop by Daxi Old streets. Daxi town is about 3omins drive from Furano, famous for its Western baroque style shophouses.

Similar to other streets catered for tourist, you will be able to savor local delicacies and purchase local products (wooden products).

Beancurds and vegetarian food are must try.
