Taiwan Day 2

Day 2: Kaohsiung

The Splendor hotel (occupies 37-70 floor in the Tuntex Tower) is the 2nd tallest building in Taiwan, ranked 21th is the world. Our view at 64 floor. Rather foggy early in the morning. Not sure if its pollution. The view faces South with the port (basin no.5) situated on the left.

Another view (North West facing) from the cafe.

Street scene around the city.

All the windows are caged from outside. Many resident fall victim to fire when they are unable to escape through the window.

Traveling along the main road. Traffic are much smoother as compared to Taipei. The roads are much wider too.

One of the big franchise outlet where they served different type of "ice" desert.

New Old Taiwan Delicacies restaurant. A 2 story retro restaurant decorated with lots of memorabilia and collectibles. Beside the cashier, is a provision shop.

There is an old public bus on the 2nd level.

In Taiwan, a visit to the nite market is a must. The relative new RuiFeng Night Market 瑞豐夜市 night market is the biggest in the city. Most of the vendors are in their twenties, selling a wide selection of clothings and accessories and food.

In the wok are Chicken feet (commonly known as Phoenix claws).
