Day 1: Singapore to Taiwan

Day one is travel day. It will take us almost a full day to reach Kaohsiung.
It's miracle that we squeeze all our clothing into just 1 luggage.

The red London cab was scrapped last year, the white one has to attend to another client, so we end up a champagne one.

We are early and the gate are not yet assigned.



After 4.5hrs, we arrived at Taoyuan airport, we took a cab NT$320, 10 mins to Taiwan High Speed Rail Station at Taoyuan. The journey South to Kaohsiung (Zuoying station) is a mere 80mins. Adult standard ticket cost NT$860, business class is NT$1,760.

Make sure you confirm your train platform as the 2 platforms are not interlink.

The high speed rail stations are situated at the outskirt of the cities. Cab from Zuoying station to our hotel (Splendor Kaohsiung) is NTS280.
