Jen went for OGTT test today. Oral Glucose Tolerance Test for Gestational Diabetes. This test is normally done between 24th and 28th week of pregnancy. A previous urine test shows high sugar content so the test today.

Jen is required to go on diet the nite before. After a small amount of blood is drawn, you are given a bottle of "F&N orange" (called Glucola), containing 50 g of glucose. We were told to come back in 2hrs to draw a 2nd round of blood. The blood test measures how the glucose is proceed by the body. Read more
