Taiwan::: Day 6 Preview

National Palace Museum, (国立故宫博物院) houses the largest collections of Chinese artifacts and artwork in the world. These national treasures could have fallen into the hand of Japanese. Why is that so?


One of the three treasures of the museum, The Jade Cabbage.

Besides streets delicacies, there are a no. of signature restaurants in Taipei. I love the way they name these restaurant, adds a nice touch to dinning.

Series of very interesting architecture built by
Hsieh Li-Shiang, a women who knows nothing about architecture! The restaurant combines unique architecture, art and food into a complete dining experience.

Paintings, sculptures are displayed within the restaurant, creating a cohesive theme from architecture to interior decor.


All the tables are in rectangle shape.

Taipei 101. In 2004, a new landmark is completed in Taiwan, Taipei 101 (臺北101)!


The fastest lift in the world, From 5th to 89 Floor (35secs)!

When you exit the lift, turn left and obtain free audio device available at the reception desk.

Hazy weather at the The Indoor Observatory.


Raohe night market (饒河街觀光夜市). This 600m long night market combines a local experience on Taiwan Food and Shopping experience.

yes, all the organs, intestines....

eat..shop...eat...shop!

do not expect high end boutique here but they look as good!

there are other stores like this that does facial the traditional way!

Yes, it's 故宮. Pity I only have a short time, wld love to spent a day there. The museum shop is amazing too.
