This place looks familiar? Yes, it's National Taiwan democracy memorial hall. The compounds where all the concerts, protest takes place. The original name was National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, erected in memory of the former President of Taiwan. Read more. Official websiite.
Martyr's shrine. The shrine worshiped the soul of soldiers who sacrifices before the establishment of the Republic of China, the Sino-Japanese war and the Chinese Civil war.
Highlights is the hourly guard-changing ceremony. The are 2 sets of guards, one in front of the gate and the other stationed in the inner hall.
Some pretty sleek rifle stunts.
Danshuei Old Street. A must visit when you are in Taipei. Lot's of old buildings, delicacies and unique shops.
On one side is the old street, on the other a beautiful walkway with this breath taking view. Pretty hazy today.
Ximending (西門町), the young, hippest and trendiest area in Taiwan. The area was developed by the Japanese and modeled after Asakusa(Japan). Resemble a downscale Shibuya!
Along the streets, there are lots of mobile vendors like this
and this. They are actually illegal food vendors who perform vanishing acts in incredible speed when the police arrive!
Why is everyone standing here while eating? Yes, there are no tables at 阿宗面线(长宁区仙霞路699号(安龙路威宁路之间)). A small bowl cost NT$40.
