Bali Hotel Special: Santi Mandela Villa

Santi Mandela is actually our second choice villa. Apart from the 30mins drive from Ubud, the villa is a gem itself.

The entire villa is actually built along the stream with the new wing on the right bank. Unfortunately a recent downpour has washed away beautiful landscape along the river bank, including a wooden bridge.

From the reception area, we have to navigate a long flight of stairs to our room, not elderly friendly especially when it rains. If you live on the new wing, you will have to make your you way down the same flight of stairs, across the bridge to the swimming pool.

After the stairs, its another short walk towards our room.

406, located at the top of the hill.

View if the room from the padi field.

Balinese style decor. A twin bed on the first floor with kitchen and washroom.

A King sized bed on the 2nd floor.

Marbled bath tub, toilet seats and basin!

The balcony's view, overlook the padi field. The greenery stretches as far as the eye can see.

There's a small private pool beside the villa with the padi field next to it.

The big pool that is located across the bridge. The new wing is visible in the background.

Temple entrance within the villa compound. The villa's staffs prays ever morning. Some workers are carrying rock to rebuilt the temple grounds. I reckon its also damage during the downpour.

The villas at the old wing, built around a beautiful landscaped garden.
