Yet have the time to fully explore the capabilities of the DSLR. As compared to my retired SLR (Nikon F601, 1993), the D90 boast a hell lot of features. Sometimes more controls means you have to be real fast in your composition and at the same time ensure the settings are right.
I have been using the P&S DC for about 8 years and things are much simpler. You just need to focus on the composition and click away. Although the DSLR does open up new possibilities, it also entice you to get more gadgets...different range of lens, flash lights and more storage memory etc.
