Niu Niu and Megan

We heard of stories where owners have to give away their dogs/cats to the SPCA because their BB is on the way. It is sad because pets, especially dogs has strong attachments to their owners. We planned for Megan when niu niu is around 2 years old. At that age, niu niu is also much more obedient. Its also important to select the right breed of dog especially if the dog lives indoor with the family. One great advantage of Yorkshire is it does not shed much fur.

If you asked if she is jealous about Megan? Yes she is. Dog do not know that they are dog, they see themselves as a family member. We do not treat niu niu as a dog rather more like a daughter but with moderation.

With Megan back in the house, we have to slowly introduce niu niu back. The important things is not to restrict the dog as they have their private space too. We teaches her where are her bounderies and not to get too close to Megan. We do admit that we tend to negelect niuniu during the first few days but with the baby settling down, things tend to have a way to fall into place.

With times, niu niu will start to protect Megan and hopefully they will become good companion. Some tips here.
