Upon reaching Bohol, everything is blue and still blue. The most convenience transport is the tricycle, a 125cc bike with a side carriage. Amazing, these tricycle are pretty powerful and much safer than the Thai's tuk tuk. You will need to bargain the fare as these taxi does not run on meter. Short distance may cost around 200peso to 500peso. 500peso will take you on a round trip from Alona beach to the ferry terminal.
A 30min ride bring us to the Alona beach and it's more tones of blue. We stayed at Bohol Divers Resort which sits on a beach lined with rows of never ending resorts and dive shops. Pretty much like Bali and Phuket but less crowded.
My room is just beside the dive shop and a few feet away from the beach. If you do not mind the live band playing at the bar( Fri & Sat), this is one of the best located room in the resort. Do not expect a 3 stars hotel standard but room are clean with aircons and cable TV but hot water supply can be irregular.
There is no shortage of food and the locals are always around when you require a taxi, boat or tour!
