The coastal drive to and fro Kuantan was amazing. It brings you back in time into the eighties. There is no high rise building, lots of coconut tress and monkeys along the road. It happens to be Malaysia National Day on the 31 Aug, which also marks the start of the Ramadan (Muslim fasting month). We drove pass small town (Mersing below), back into the long winding road and into another small town... The Freelander we are in offers an almost panoramic view, almost perfect for photography.
