Offerings

Every year, we will "subscribe" to the offering services provided by the temple. They will offering Buddhist chants and vegetarian food as seen here. For the Taoist, you will expect to see the burning of paper money or some form of paper offerings.

This particular altar is catered to babies or infants. You will see offerings of candies, toys, milk etc.

Here's a closeup of the walls. Similar to courier services, you will need to specify the recipient and sender. The left most panel is for my dad. The biggest Chinese character indicates his name. The smaller charactes on the left indicate the relationship (son, daughter, grandsons) followed by their names. Next week we will be making the trip to the columbarium.
