Megan@22 weeks

It's Megan's detailed scan today. Was glad that everything went smoothly. The doctor placed a lot of emphasis on the heart, providing both visual and sound scan. We view the kidney, umbilical cord, hands (even fingers) and legs followed by measurement to the head and abdomen area. The scan is able to tell if the baby has cleft lip. The detailed scan also provide a confirmation on the gender, to make sure there isn't any "necessary protrudement"! Simply because everyone wants a girl! Do you know in some country and state, it is against the law to know the sex of the baby!

Megan now weights about 0.5kg. The detailed scan is important because all the major organs are fully developed by now, thus the need to find out if there are any abnormalities

The first scans shows the heart and heart beat. The spinal cord is clearly visible.
