Laksa Vs Laksa

Laksa is a popular cuisine found in Singapore and many Asian countries. Laksa is served in a bowl of curry mixed coconut gravy, accompanied with cockles, beancurd, prawn and egg etc.

The most popular stalls are originated in the Katong (East Singapore) area and have branches throughout the island. Noboday know who is the real McCoy. The two "authentic" stalls are found along East Coast Road, seperated by Ceylon Road. The 2 stalls are no.49 and 51/53. On their stall, it reads, 49 Katong Laksa and 328 Katong Laksa. I guess it is up to perosnal preference who serve a better Laksa.

Parking is available along Ceylon Road. There is a big Wilson carpark opposite the road too.

Personally, I find that the gravy are not as thick as before. I missed the old days where Laska are served in porcelain bowl and spoon. The small serving cost $3. Normally you need 2 x small serving to fill your stomach.

The stalls also sell the all time favorite Nasi lemak and Otah.

How to make Laksa?
