A 10mins bumboat ride takes us to the island of Pulau Ubin, Singapore last remaining nature habitat.
read Ubin Blog.
Once you leave the jetty, you will be greeted with eateries and shops renting bicycle.
SGD$2 for a bicycle! Average rental cost SGD$4, the new ones cost Bet. SGD$8-10. No sure if you get group discounts?
Sadly, most of the Malay Villages are long gone. There are only a handful of old attap houses scattered along the cycling path.
most of theses houses sell cold beverages.
yes, the icy coconut has a heavenly taste! They are imported from Thailand, SGD$2 each.
All quarries are also fenced up! A glimpse of Keke quarry, furthest from the Jetty.
On the Eastern tip is Chek Jewa, a wetland treasure! A newly built broad walk is worth the trip. The walkway is designed in a loop, start from the visitors center to get a good overview of the area before you head out to the wetland.
